STI/HIV Clinical Update In-Person Southern Nevada Workshop

The Pacific AIDS Education and Training Center-Nevada with the University of Nevada, Reno School of Medicine presents the 2022 STI/HIV Clinical Update Workshop. The presentation topics will include: Nevada and Clark County epidemiology, HIV and STI screening and prevention, Nevada legislative updates and best practices for clinic implementation, National STI Strategic Plan update, syphilis and congenital syphilis treatment update, chlamydia and gonorrhea testing and treatment updates, sexual history taking and sex positivity, and clinic panel discussion sharing HIV/STI prevention strategies.

The Skills-building workshop topics will include 3-site testing, HIV testing and disclosure, sexual health history taking, and patient follow-up care and treatment.

Learning Objectives: 

•Discuss Nevada HIV/STI epidemiology

•Explain the Nevada legislative updates and best practices for clinic implementation

•Discuss syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea infections, testing and treatment updates

•Increase skills around HIV/STI prevention and screening
