Masters Percussion Recital: Trevor Hall

Trevor Hall is a graduate student at the University of Nevada, Reno, where he is working towards his M.M. in percussion performance studying with faculty members Andrew Heglund and Cody Remaklus. He graduated magna cum laude with a B.M. in both percussion performance and music education from the Sacramento State School of Music, where he studied with Daniel Kennedy and Chris Froh. During his time at Sacramento State, Hall was a part of the percussion ensemble, symphony orchestra, Gamelan Sekar Gendot, marching band, indoor drumline, and held the position of principal percussionist for three years with the symphonic wind ensemble. While studying, he also performed for groups including Camerata California, the Placer Pops Orchestra, the VITA Academy, the Auburn Grace Community Church, Sacramento Children's Chorus, Sacramento Master Singers and the Rancho Cordova Civic Light Orchestra. Hall's teaching background includes working for the Inderkum High School Marching Band and Winter Percussion for the 2013-14 seasons. For the past four years, he has been on staff for the Cazadero Performing Arts Camp as a music instructor for percussion. In 2014, he served as percussion instructor for Donner Mine Music Camp. Hall is a member of the music fraternity Mu Phi Epsilon and the music honor society Pi Kappa Lambda.
